The Xuvia Industrial Mills Interpretation Centre (CIMIX) is celebrating its first anniversary since opening to the public, and wants to celebrate in the best possible way: by sharing this special date with its visitors and the local community.
Friday 21st November will mark one year since CIMIX opened its doors as a space for dissemination and promotion of one of the most emblematic industrial sites in the municipality. To commemorate this date, the centre is organising a special weekend, with activities open to all citizens.
On Saturday 22 November, a unique activity will take place: a collaborative visit in which the residents living near the mill will be the real stars. The tour, which will begin at 11:00 am, will combine a presentation by CIMIX staff on the historical context of the complex with the participation of the attendees, who will share their memories, experiences and knowledge of the recent history of the mill and its surroundings. The activity will be free of charge, and places can be reserved through the booking platform available on the website www.cimixnaron.gal.
To round off the celebrations, on Sunday 23rd November, coinciding with Narón Day, admission to the centre will be free, offering a new opportunity to discover this space which, throughout its first year, has established itself as a benchmark in the dissemination of the industrial and cultural heritage.
